Our Recent Trip To Georgia & Florida

I really liked driving this Pontiac rental.

Lauren came by friday morning to take us to the airport & we flew
Northwest which has now merged with Delta to Jacksonville, Florida.
Picky, picky at the check station they still made me dump lotion
& toiltries even though they were in small containers because they
didn't all fit in a sandwich size zip lock bag!! Dregs! Still haven't got
that right!
We spent the night then got up early morning & took the I-10 heading
west towards Nanny-Pats in Panama City. Kelly surprizes me & asks
if I want to go see Brittney??? which we hadn't planned this short trip
but it bugs us to be this close & not see her. So change of plans we
head north to Brittney's a four hr. drive outside of Atlanta. Kelly says
we can only spend one evening but we'll get to see them & take them
out to dinner. Soooo...of we go! It's always fun & amazing to drive down
those freeways out there with all their beautiful tall green trees & foliage.
So fun to get to spend a little time with Brittney & Chris & the grandkids!
And thanks again Chris for that fantastic send off breakfast you fixed us!
Omlets, hashbrowns, bacon, toast & jam & juice. Yum!
We do take turns driving, though Kelly takes the hard parts. And we hit alot
of rest stops. The cush seems to get thinner with age & stretching is good!!

Kelly's 1st time to hold little name-sake, cute Madolin Kelly
On the drive down to Patty's there was alot of contruction & it took
us an hour longer to arrive. We were in stop & go traffic for a whole
hour. Working on the freeways they haven't quite figured out how
to just work on a little section at a time, like we do out here. My only
complaint!
We decided to stop and try something new! The little stands along
the roadside where they sell boiled peanuts! Well..... I wasn't to
impressed with the boiled peanuts, they taste like kinda like hard
beans. Kelly liked them.... It was just more interesting interacting with the people in the
area. We bought some wonderful peaches later at another little stand!
The kind I was used to eating in Mexico from our wonderful orchards
down there. They were juicy, good flavored & not wood-ie like- you
half of the time buy in the store here. Utah peaches are wonderful too!
