Lauren says her Italian ancestors families are all from this area. 
We stopped in Assisi for lunch & some hiked up the hill to a Famous Cathedral. Kelly & I& another couple from Alabama opted for a liesurely lunch, best pulled pork, lettuce & tomato sandwich I've had in a long while, Yummm! I'd read a book about the travels
of a Medieval Queen & her entourage who traveled from France down through Italy over
mountains & hills on horseback & kind of a hand-carriage like the Chinese used. She was
well along with child & stopped in this city to have her baby & convalesce, before resumming
her journey south, so it was pretty interesting to actually be here.
